Shamus

High content wolfdog

Born: 2008

Biologists have studied free ranging wild wolves for decades. Scientists have also thoroughly studied the behavior of captive-born wolves, however very little research has been done on wolfdogs. So we began a long term Wolfdog study project at Indigo Mountain in 2006 which focuses on development, social behaviors, learning, training, and nutrition. Our studies are carried out through observation and documentation and use no invasive methods.

Shamus is an 87% F4 wolfdog. He is an easy going big boy. So much so that he had to be removed from the large pack when the boys began to pick on him. Today he lives with Yepa and the two get along great.
