|  | | | Ahwahnee Ahwahnee was rescued from a backyard breeder situation in 2001. She had been promised to a roadside zoo, however, she was born without a portion of her ear and the zoo did not want her as a display animal. Ahwahnee became surplus and was headed for an exotic animal auction when we learned of her fate.
